Hunting, Fishing, Family game nights

Describe your local community involvement?
I have served as Church council president, coach for several youth sports including baseball, softball, and basketball. I have volunteered for and donated to our school and Chamber of Commerce for many years.

Wife Sasha, Jackson 14, Maya 12 and yellow lab Cooper

Why do you choose to be a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association?
I choose to be a member to help the profession grow, to be informed, and to stay current. I believe all optometrists have a responsibility to improve the profession.

What do you like best about the profession of optometry?
Connecting with patients and hearing their stories.

Describe your favorite memory from your optometric career.
I would say it is hard to pick a favorite individual memory. My favorite times would be when patients want to help or share with us. We have had patients bring us food, baby toys, plants, vegetables, and even secret fishing spots!!

What fun fact would you like to share about yourselves that your colleagues may not know about you?
I still love LEGO and building new sets!!
