Tell us about your family and pets.
My wife, Kelsey, and I got married last summer and shortly after moved to our house in Plymouth. We have a two-year-old goldendoodle, Enzo.
Why do you choose to be a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association?
I enjoy connecting with my colleagues from around the state and remain amazed by the energy and commitment they show. Being a member of the MOA allows me to do my part in continuing to move optometry forward to meet the standard set by other states.
What do you like best about the profession of optometry?
I enjoy tackling challenging clinical cases and sharing my thoughts with colleagues to further my growth and knowledge. Along with that, I love being able to connect with my longer-term patients and help them solve problems with their eyes both big and small.
Describe your favorite memory from your optometric career.
I have a hard time picking a particular memory, but I always enjoy traveling for meetings, getting to connect with colleagues across the country, and also seeing old friends while checking out new cities - favorites include New Orleans, San Diego, and always Chicago!
What fun fact would you like to share about yourselves that your colleagues may not know about you?
I played ukulele for a little over a year, including a couple of small "concerts" at some Minneapolis establishments. Unfortunately, after a year of major life moves that's fallen off, but it's still sitting on my shelf waiting to get picked back up!
