Where are you from
I was born in Guyana, South America, and spent the first eight years of my life between St.Lucia and Barbados. I moved to Canada when I was eight and then moved to Chicago for optometry school in 2000.

What schools did you graduate from (undergrad and postgrad)?
McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in Canada and Illinois College of Optometry
What do you like to do when you're not working?
Reading and spending quality time with family and friends!
What leads you to continue serving your community as an optometrist?
I am really passionate about providing comprehensive care in rural Minnesota where I know my patients and their families.
If you weren't an optometrist, what would you be?
A teacher
What drives you to continue your membership with the Minnesota Optometric Association?
My membership to the Minnesota Optometric Association is so important as they strive to provide all optometrists the support they need to practice in all capacities whether in private practice, commercial or hospital settings.
What cause means the most to you right now? Does not have to be optometry related, but can be.
I continue to strive to provide our community with access to the highest level of care including coordinating care with other providers and practicing to the highest level of scope of practice that I can.
What fun fact would you like to share about yourself?
I am planning a trip to Guyana with my kids, husband and parents next year for my 50th birthday, and I am excited to show my kids where I was born and share my heritage with them.
