Dr. Chris Palmer talks Low Vision Awareness

Last month was Low Vision Awareness Month, and Dr. Chris Palmer of Low Vision Resotoration, LLC an International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS) member and Illinois College of Optometry graduate, set out to help raise awareness. Palmer wants to shed a bright light on the largely unknown difference that low vision care can make for the patients and and their families, which is what he, as a Low Vision Doctor, is able to do with the specialized devices available to help these people live more independent, productive and barrier free lives.

Palmer interviewed with KARE11 during their News at 11 on Tuesday, February 7 to discuss what services are available to low vision individuals that will allow them to live their lives more productively and independently. You can watch his interview with KARE11 here.

On February 28, Palmer and one of his Low Vision patients interviewed live on WCCO-TV during their noon show.  Check out Palmer's interview with WCCO here.

We would like to thank Dr. Palmer, who is also a member of the Minnesota Optometric Assocation, for helping to raise awareness of this topic. Dr. Chris Palmer can be contacted here:
