Digital Device Advice

1. Position your screen or device optimally
        a.       Move your device further away (arm's length)
        b.       Screen should be slightly below eye level
2. Take a break! Every 20 minutes take a 20 second break by looking 20 feet away
3. Blink more
4. Check your posture
        a.       Shoulders back, neck straight, arms and thighs parallel with the floor
5. Adjust room lighting, make sure there is no glare from windows
6. Get off the screen!
        a.       Go outside, be active, give your eyes the break they need!
7. Stop using screens at least 2 hours before bedtime
       a.       Screens can alter sleep patterns
8. Review symptoms for eye problems that may be missed in a vision screening
