Home Study Education Modules
If you are interested in receiving continuing education credit or if you would like to expand your knowledge about a specific topic, then the AOA Paraoptometric Section has the resources for you. The Section recently developed ten education modules which are currently being developed for your use. Topics include:

Practice Management 101
Ophthalmic Dispensing
Anatomy and Physiology
Special Procedures
Soft Contact Lens Wear and Care (Education Grant provided courtesy of Bausch & Lomb)
ABC's of Optical Dispensing Module (Education Grant provided courtesy of Luxottica Group)
Fitting Toric Soft Contact Lenses – Coming Soon (Education grant from SpecialEyes)
Optimizing Efficiency in the Optical Dispensary – Coming Soon (Education grant from HOYA)

The modules have been designed in and easy-to-use automated, audio Power Point format, perfect for at-home study. The modules would also be great for educational offerings during staff meetings in the practice. Staff can participate in the lecture portion of the course and then download the CE exam for individual use. The cost of each module is $40.00 for AOA members, $45 for AOA OD members, or $55.00 for non-members, plus a per use fee for the actual CE exam.
