Education & Training

Continuing education is an important requirement for re-licensure for Minnesota doctors of optometry, and is instrumental in maintaining the highest quality of care available to Minnesota residents.

The Minnesota Board of Optometry requires 20 hours of CE per year/ 40 per two year cycle. The number of continuing education credits you need is pro-rated depending upon the date you initially became licensed.

The MOA works hard to provide the most current, affordable education opportunities throughout the state. MOA education committee works hard to provide events with first-class lecturers covering the latest topics in the industry.

The MOA holds two major education events per year one in the fall and one in early Spring. These two meetings provide all the education requirements an OD would need for re-licensure in Minnesota.
